Unravel is relaxing, physics-based game where you unravel a ball of yarn.
Physics-Based Simulation
Web-Based, Desktop-Only
No real plot, but the premise is to unravel the yarn. The player should feel a sense of relaxation and satisfaction as the ball falls apart.
Unravel will have a geometric, abstract style, utilizing simple, pastel colors.
Unravel will have minimal sound. It will utilize ambient noise which may change with the status of the ball, and simple sound effects when the ball bumps against solid surfaces.
A ball of yarn is spawned in a 2D, front-view environment with semi-realistic physics, which then can be dragged and otherwise interacted with using the mouse. Jostling the ball will cause it to unravel in varied ways, until it is just string, at which point a new ball can be spawned, or the player may continue to interact with the string.
Mouse only, utilizing clicking and dragging.
Until the ball is interacted with, a simple statement describing how to interact with the ball will be displayed.
The more the player interacts with the ball, the more ways they will find to uniquely unravel it.
